The "van Bodasca" kennel is a small hobbykennel with a max of 5 dogs. Our dogs do not spend their lives in kenels but live in our home. The kennelname "van Bodasca" was registered in 1988 with the FCI. In those days we owned 2 longhair dachshunds but late 1988 the first Cesky Terrier came to us. Nowadays we have Cesky Terriers and one Softcoated Wheaten terrier.

Our first Cesky Terrier was 'Ciska'. She is the foundationbitch of our kennel and also the mother of our first litter in this breed.
This first litter was born in 1990 and contained 5 puppies.
From this litter we kept 1 male and 1 female : Jarmila and Janeiro Bohème van Bodasca   Although the female won several championcertificates we decided to place her in a new home as we were not able to find a suitable male for her.

The male, not very keen on showing, won many titles. 'Rio' passed away at age 14 but was till the end he was the leaderof our pack. Only on long walks he handed over leadership to the younger ones.

In 1992 Ciska got her second litter with again 5 puppies	And also this time we kept 1 male and 1 female: Bohemian Design and Bohemian Destiny van Bodasca

  

In 1994 we imported form Switzerland the female 'Devilsbridge Grezle'. Gresla belonged to one of the most winning Cesky Terriers of the '90.

Our third Cesky Terrier litter was born in 1995 with parents 'Ch. Mrak del Monte' en 'Ch. Bohemian Design van Bodasca'. Out of this litter, also 5 puppies, came the multiple titled male 'Larkam Bohème van Bodasca', in ownership of Ariane Ruf ('du mas Danoukia') in Switzerland and his brother 'Lajuardi Bohème van Bodasca' owner Nicolette Meijer ('dari Kraton Ketjil') in Belgium.

Late 1995 we imported a female from Fance: 'Ch. Lambada de Domus Bohemia', born out of our male 'Ch. Janeiro Bohème van Bodasca' and the French female 'Ch. Halina Laraff'. Sadly we have no offspring from her.

In search of new blood we ended up in Finland and in july 1996 the Finnish male 'Sötnosar's New Famous Finn' came to Holland. He was very succeful at shows and had attracked many new cesky owners to the breed due to his happy and outgoing character. His offspring show, beside a good type, a very good character and a beautiful rich coat.

Our fourth litter was born in 1997 (5 puppies) with parents beeing 'Ch. Janeiro Bohème van Bodasca' and 'Devilsbridge Grezle'. Fron this litter 3 puppies went abroad. The female 'Yasinia Bohème van Bodasca' went to Finland ('Sötnosar's kennel from Anitta Caconius) and became an International, Finnish, Polish and Estonia Champion and Nordic Winner 2001.

In 1998 we had 4 puppies from 'Devilsbridge Grezle' with our male 'Ch. Sötnosar's New Famous Finn'.

From this litter we kept a bitch: 'Nadia Bohème van Bodasca'.

In 1999 we had 5 puppies from 'Ch. Devilsbridge Grezle' with the French male 'Efoly's Lucky Luke'. From this litter Sandor Bohème went to Belgium and was very succesfull at shows and even became a Canadian Champion at 15 months of age. He has since than finished many titels around Europe.

2000 : Early 2000 we had 2 (male) puppies from 'Nadia' with the Swiss male 'Ch. Devilsbridge Golias'. Late 2000 we had a last litter with 'Gresla' , 2 puppies from the Swedish male 'Ch. Dainty's Quincy Spider'. The female stayed with us and the male went to Italy. He became the foundation male of the 'del Caviano' kennel of Maria Battilani. He is an Italian and International Champion and had several groupplacements.

Late 2001 'Nadia' had her second litter. The father is the German male 'Ch. Buck z Brandyskeho dvora'. We had hope for a female for us to keep but only 2 male puppies were born from this combination.

In 2002 we had a litter from 'Elita' by our male 'Ch. Sötnosar's New Famous Finn'. The only female went to Spain ('Katatao's kennel) and is a Spanish and Portugees Champion.

In 2003 we had a litter from 'Elita Bohème van Bodasca' with 'Ch. Lump del Monte'. There were 2 males and 2 females. From this litter 'Baikis Bohème van Bodasca' went to Germany. ('Baikis Esperanza' kennel). He became their foundation male.

In 2004 Nadia had her third and last litter with the male 'Ch. Lump del Monte'. From this litter, 3 males and 1 female, the female 'Holly Bohème van Bodasca' remains in our ownership.

In 2005 and 2006 we had a very quiet year. Reason was our latest addition to the family, our son Max.. We visited only a few shows that year with our youngest cesky, Holly. In 2007 I picked up showing again. Holly finished some championtitles that I had started with before our son was born.

In 2009 we hope to have a litter from her and continue with our line.
